FiveTrails Africa NPC
We build and run Atlas, a free online campus where young people grow their skills, confidence and capacity to change their own lives and their communities.
Our world
Our world of work is challenging. There is a lot of uncertainty, a lot of tension, and very few self-development ecosystems that gently nurture and grow young people's capacity.
We are here to uncover our students' superpowers so that they can have better lives. This is the work we do, and the work we love.
Skills and knowledge.
Attitudes, values and mindset.
Skills and abilities to act and achieve.
Our core initiative
Built on over a decade of experience and connection with youth in South Africa, Atlas puts the student at the centre of it all. Its blended content helps young people take charge of their own learning journeys, see themselves as leaders in their own lives, and build the capacity to make meaningful change where they live.
Free.
For every learner, on any device.
No fees, no barriers.
Self-strengthening, transformational leadership and exploring the roles young people hold in their communities.
Equipping marginalised youth in South Africa with the skills and credentials to take part in the growing green economy.
For 18 to 35 year olds who champion the environment in their communities and grow initiatives that earn while doing good. We recruit, equip, inspire, connect and nurture them.

How Atlas stays free
Atlas is funded through grants, donations and partnerships, and through workshops and facilitation that FiveTrails delivers for other organisations. Income from that work goes directly into keeping Atlas online, developing new courses and reaching more young people.
Funders who back the platform, content and access.
Individuals and companies who give directly.
Income from this work is reinvested in Atlas.
